In my opinion I think we should get the news guys into this and get the information out there about the irresponsibility with which they have mismanaged the whole process. Such kind of problems usually grab headlines when it happens with US citizens.
I think we need to be heard. Imagine, insurance companies violating makes news, social security makes news, airport security regulations and mismanagement makes news _ WHY CANT THIS? THIS IS SO CRUEL. HOW MANY HOURS, MONEY, EFFORT HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN? CAN WE NOT GET SOME NEWS CHANNEL TO COVER THIS? SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO A JOURNALIST ABOUT HOW AWFUL IT HAS BEEN????
THIS HAS ALL THE ELEMENTS OF PAIN, AGONY, AND DECEIT. Please comment. Only when we do this, will we get the EB numbers to get increased. Only then , the lawmakers will get up and smell the coffee. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND WHAT DO WE GET AFTER OBEYING THE LAW? MISMANAGEMENT THROWN AT OUR FACE.

I have a copy of Nolo Fiance and marriage Visas and in the section on I130 it says that my copies of G-325A must be filed in four copies printed on differently colored paper (white, green, pink and blue).
A) Is this really necessary?
B) If yes, I have actually bought paper in these colors. Does it have to a particular pink, blue, green etc?
C) The pages in the PDF are actually named
1) Ident.
2) Rec. Br
3) C.
4) Consulate
Which color matches which index? E.g. is the Ident one supposed to be white, blue, pink or green?
Hope someone knows about this.

Very recently our company advertised for a position, this was for one of my co workers from China, company received over 200 resumes, I heard that the new rule is to reply to all the resumes and tell them why they dont qualify etc..

I'm a little confused about my options in starting my H1 extension process and applying for my wife's H4 application.
Here is my current status :
6 yr H1-B period is ending on Dec 22, 2009. I'm getting married in India in October and will apply for my wife's H4 immediately after. Here are my questions :
1. Will there be any problem with my wife's H4 application if there are just 2 months of validity left on my H1 visa?
2. I could potentially start my H1 extension process now. I'm eligible for a 3 year extension since the Priority date of Jan 3, 2006, on my EB2 application is not current. If I was to start my extension process now, my approval may not happen before October and my lawyer there may be some problems if I travel outside the country on a pending H1 application. Should I apply for my H1 extension now or after I come back to the US in November?
3. If I was to apply for H1 extension in Nov and don't get an approval by the time of my current H1 expiry in December, will I be out of status?

U Visas: extended until February 1, 2010.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) extended the filing deadline for temporary benefits of the U Non-immigrant Interim Relief Program. The temporary benefits program was set to expire December 31, 2009 but has been recently extended until February 1, 2010.
H-1C Visas: expired December 21, 2009
USCIS accepted H-1C non-immigrant temporary workers petitions expired December 21, 2009. The H-1C classification authorized up to 500 nurses annually to work in eligible health care facilities. Although the visa classification expired, nurses currently in H-1C status will not be affected.

I am currently on F1 Status
I have a Vaid H1 Visa which was issued by my previous employer on 2006.But I did not use the VISA as I entered US as a student and have never worked in the US on H1.
the new employer is willing to sponser my h1. As I was already counted in the cap once within past 6 years, I need not wait till april to process my application.
is this correct?
If one is in some other status other than H1 currently, They don't need old paystubs for the transfer.I need a copy of the I797 or the receipt number of my old H1 for transfer.
I can provide the receipt number which is available on my visa. My previous employer is not willing to give me a copy of I797.
what are the chances that my application being approved without old I797 but just the receipt no for proof of me counted already once

everyone here talks abt geting GC asap.. even though most of us are swearin at the USCIS/DOS whtevr, deep down we all want GCs. but after thi sJuly VB, do u have faith/trust in the system now? assume that they accept our application and what if they give out GCs 2-3 yrsfrom now, what makes u think they cant come back and say it was a mistake and u have to give ur GC back?

I am in a weird situation here, I was Laid off on July 21st with pay in lieu until 4th August. I had applied for Change of Status to F2 (my wife is on F1) on 17th August. On 31st August I got a job offer and applied for H1B transfer to USCIS on 8th September (using 15th august paystub as the latest).
At the same time i filed to USCIS to revoke my F2 application.
Today I got a notice from USCIS that my application for change of status to F2 is approved as of 09/21/2009.
Now, I dont know what to do, does it mean I am now on F2? Is my H1B transfer application still valid or I need to apply again this time on premium processing.
What should be my next course of action. Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Can some one reply to my post please. My question is regarding EAD only. Once I apply for EAD and go to India what happens
1. If I am not there while it approved? Can my frnd send me the EAD to India?
2. if I get called for finger printing for EAD and if dont go for it? Will my AOS will be treated as abandoned?
