It seems that many of those negative votes may be coming from misconceptions about the resolution independent UI. Be patient. If the resolution independent UI had no benefit, Apple wouldn't spend time, effort, and money adding it to the OS.
Although I don't fully understand it, I'm going to hold judgement until Leopard ships. Then I'll make my decision.

I've got a working one as well, only it's got a hard drive in and boots 7.5.3 - and I'm not selling it. Even if I was the one who technically owned it, I wouldn't sell it.

Great. Now as far as connecting the switch I'm assuming I just connect it right to one of the open ports on the airport extreme? Will the airport software continue to manage the devices connected to the switch.

The only thing I can think of is that your iPod (or, not likely, iCal) is stuck on a wrong timezone (there are some half timezones), but it seems like a long shot...

Yeah, the clock's fine on both which is weird. My time-zone for my iPod is Tokyo which is about 1.5hrs behind but my actual time-zone doesn't appear as one of the options. The time-zone support option in iCal is disabled (by default). This is really weird, all the times in iCal are correct but they're just not syncing with the iPod well. I don't have anything else to sync which is a shame because I could work out if it's my mac or my iBook. :(

Giving my '08 Mac Pro a new lease of life with a SSD. 3'5 (so I won't have to worry about sleds etc.) I'm going for a clean install, but is there any special considerations regarding formatting I should be aware of?
This is the drive;
OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 120GB 3.5" SATA-II
Should I install in windows first to update firmware?

Hi,
Ok, i know this site is by it's nature about gadgets, but for me it's all about the carrier.
I've had 8 different carriers in the last 10 years. Many of them have merged/
changed names/gone out of business.
When i see people complaining about their carrier, it's always about coverage
dropouts. Folks, ALL carriers will have SOME dropouts, especially if you live
in a challenging physical terrain.
What i found more aggravating is how obtuse and unresponsive these companies are. This is an area of modern commerce that is barely regulated.
Politicians have been lobbied to allow a wild west mentality for an industry
that has insinuated itself into most of our lives in just a short time.
I've had carriers routinely sneak in extra charges. Representatives have no
compunction about lying. I don't know about you, but i don't have time to
audit my bill every month with a magnifying glass.
Each carrier was worse than the last. The most annoying thing? Being
put on hold for 40 minutes, than disconnected. This is intentional. They don't want to be accessible.
Finally the last time i switched i did a search to see which companies had the least complaints. Although the billing practices overall in the industry
are atrocious, i've had the best experience overall with my current carrier.
This trumps any pleasure i would get from having a phone that integrates
well with my macs.

I think that within a year or two even consumers will be demanding more picture quality. Even cheaper displays are beginning to have more contrast and wider gamut than crt's used to have. With new displays consumers start to see PQ problems with older content. This leads to demand for higher PQ content. Here in Finland, sd-dtv was generally considered high quality with older crt's, but when hd-lcd's got more common, people started complaining about artifacts.
And maybe even smaller movie companies start realizing that they need color management...:rolleyes:

Just for fun I copied your code and pasted it into a project I had open. Xcode 4.0.2 Build 4A2002a, iMac 3.06 GHz core 2 duo, 2 TB hard drive with probably > 1TB free, syntax coloring on, pasting to the bottom of a .m file (before the @end).
No problems. Pasted in less than a second, same for cut.

I am choosing BB because I have some Reward Zone certificates that I am going to use towards the purchase, plus the RW points will go towards getting another cert to use in the future.
