Hello,

I'd like to know can a dependent (not the prime applicant) on a pending 485 status, avail unemployment insurance, especially the extended benefits which are being given by Federal govt. to the states.

it says, that unemployment compensation is not public charge.

Does it even apply to both standard unemployment insurance and the extended benefits.

Hi guys,

How to determine to which service center we need to send our application packet? Is it based on the future job location described in the labor certificate or the present physical location of the applicant?

Applying concurrent: 140/485

present physical location(my present address) state comes under : TSC
Future job location state comes under : NSC

Confused...:confused:

Hello everyone,
I had filed for my I485 on 19th July at Nebraska. My 90 days are getting over on 19th Oct. Still I have not received any receipts for I-485,EAD,I-131.
My lawyer is going to call USCIS to inquire about my case.
Does any one had experience calling USCIS after 90 days were over and the USCIS tracked your application and you got your receipts.
Would be great if any one can share there experiences.

I have EAD, AP and H-1B. I don't have H-1b stamped on my passport. I would like to travel on AP.
According to my lawyer;
"For every paper (AP) you have, you can make one trip with it. So if you have 3 original papers, you make 3 trips in and out of the country."

Is this true? My friends who traveled outside the country were told at the port of entry that AP can be used for multiple entry and the above does not hold true.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I filed my case in July 2nd(filer) and didn't receive my receipt and then again I file the same application/case on Oct 2007. Finally I got both the receipts.

I filed in EB2 catagory through company A ( small size company )based on future employment
PD- Sep/04.
I-140- Pending.

I am currently working with company B ( Multinational ). My current status is 5th yr H1B ending in Oct 07..Current employer ( Company B ) has finally approved to file PERM labor..

I am struggling to decide if I should file I-485 with company A awail the current dates and at the same time continue to file PERM in next couple of months with company B..

Would it creat any legel wrangling later on?

I am already in my 5 th yr of h1B with company B and there is no guaranteed job opportunity with company A..

Appreciate if any one in the forum could help resolve my situation.

In the right hand column on the homepage the threads used to be listed in chronological order with the one containing the last post on top.

Now it has changed so that I get the threads listed randomly.

Tech gurus - is there a way to fix this so that I can see the latest post on top like I used to previously.
