Hi everyone,
I have Logic Express on my Macbook Pro but now I need a keyboard/speakers etc to be able to use it. I have no idea what to get - to be honest I want the cheapest possible just to get started as money is tight at the moment.
I'm a keyboard player so eventually I'd like a keyboard with weighted keys but it doesn't have to be to start with.
So: what keyboard? speakers? anything else?

Wondering if the MB138LL/A Mini with C2D 1.83 and 1gb of Ram will handle 720p videos. I have ripped many of my movies to mkv files and I am worried that the GMA built on Video card will cause me issues. Some of my files range from 1.56gb to 4.6gb in size. I pick up the machine on the weekend so any help woudld be appreciated.
Thanks
Should be fine for 720p, you could have issues with higher resolution.

I use an Epson Workforce 1100 with Cobra Ink pigment CISS installed from Cobra. I really do love it. Went with the 50ml tanks and got a full set up their 100+ml refill bottles. Quality wise its good and I am happy with it. The cobra system installed and filled by them is WELL worth the money, no need to run the lines yourself, or fill and bleed the tanks.

IWhat if they were all glossy? What a nightmare that would be.
I don't think you need to worry about that. Serious image editors would never use a glossy screen.

The University of Utah bookstore had all models in stock at of 1:30.
Just curious, I wouldn't think it would be but is the iPad 2 any cheaper at the University of Utah campus store?

Appreciate the feedback, saves me at least $250. The one I had found for $650 With it installed had less memory, but had a 15in monitor and backlit keyboard at expense of less memory. Think one of the 13-in I had found will work fine for me without it.

Hi there...
Now that I've talked most of my friends into getting a Mac - and now iChat - we're finding it really easy to communicate.
Until recently, it's been dead easy to transfer files between each other, by just clicking and dragging the document onto the text box, and pushing <enter>.
From there, the files are sent to the recipient, where they are saved to a folder on their computer. I can SEND data OK - it's just the receiving of data that has been disallowed. The error I get goes something along the lines of:
"The downloads folder is Read-Only, or you do not have sufficient privileges to do this."
The problem has just occurred - I've just upgraded my Hard Drive to 120Gb, and did a straight data transfer between the old and new drives, so all my preferences had not been changed, so THAT couldn't be the reason. I have, however, upgraded to iChatAV - which may be the culprit.
Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have a solution?
I've already tried repairing my preferences (to no avail), and I can't find any of the documents that were downloaded to me previously - and doing a "Find" search of the drive has come up with nothing.
Is there ANY way of changing the DESTINATION of my downloads for iChat? I have a specific Downloads folder for internet downloads, but (as far as I can see) there is no way to change the destination for iChat...
Cheers, all.
Hope you can help...

Not unless January is in the Spring, which is when Apple has officially said Leopard will be released.

Hi everyone,
At the moment I'm developing a website and am hosting it on Webs for free (I'm very tight on money, saving for first car, new Mac etc) but this gives me a very limited amount of storage space and bandwidth. While it will be fine for a while I think it will run out reasonable fast as more and more content will go on the website.
My Idea is to host the bigger files (All .zip files for people to download) some where else and simply have a link to them on the website as I would have anyway.
This will obviously solve the problem of limited storage space, but will it also help to use less bandwidth? Or would hosting them with Webs not have used much anyway?

I played AC4 to death when it came out. Haven't touch any others for more than 10 minutes when a friend happens to have one. Not sure why...maybe I burned myself out. I will give this a shot if there is a demo so I can say I at least tried it.

Yep seeing these all over campus now, I'm hoping Apple takes some design cues from the Air and adds them to the MBPs, aka no DVD drive and instead fit a dedicated graphics card in the 13in model and remove the glass screen.

I just want to confirm if this is true that the release of iPhone 3G in the Philippines (http://www.bleuken.com/2008/06/10/iphone-getting-cheaper-better/) will be this August 22, 2008?
Thanks for any reply!

I think you should calibrate it straight away because otherwise your battery may get overcharged later, which can be quite harmful in terms of how long the battery will last in years. Remember that you can use your new toy during the entire process though, whether it's plugged in or not. :)
Merry Christmas. :)
lol but ill want to try it out on my bed :P dont want to be restricted but i dont think it will be over charged becuase it will only be charged for short periods probally
Ps merry xmas to you to
